Much Anticipated

A few months ago we signed Ben up for the online Lego Club. One of the things he looked forward to most was the promise of an occasional magazine...in the mail...addressed to him. He waited patiently, yet no magazines materialized in our mailbox. About a month ago Ben said with resignation in his voice, "I guess it's not coming, Mom." He had given up hope; and frankly, so had I. It HAD been a long time.

We had written it off, but today (very unexpectedly) I opened our shiny, black mailbox to find a single piece of mail. The much anticipated Lego magazine, addressed to Ben. He was so surprised when I handed it to him. With boyhood pleasure he immediately sat down and began to page through, exclaiming and pointing out features as he went. Long wait forgotten.
